Step into Act One, an extremely limited pop-up restaurant inside the character-filled walls of The Old Lyric. Offered on only a few select nights each month, this intimate dining experience brings together thoughtful cooking, warm hospitality and a touch of theatre — the kind that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into the opening scene of something special.

Three-Course Set Menu
Enjoy a three-course set menu with individually plated entrée, main and dessert, offering a more structured dining experience than our usual Market Eating House style, while still feeling relaxed and welcoming. Act One will take place across two exclusive weekends: Friday 16 January & Saturday 17 January
and Friday 30 January & Saturday 31 January
Future Act One dates will be released following each event, with ticket sales opening on a first-come, first-served basis. With extremely limited tables available, we recommend booking early to avoid missing out.
Event Dates
The Act One set menu is priced at $95 per person, inclusive of a three-course dining experience and BYO corkage.
A small selection of optional extras, such as freshly shucked oysters, will be available to purchase on the night. Tickets are sold per guest and must be booked in one transaction as a full table.
Cost
We can accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and simple requests such as nut-free with prior notice. Because Act One is a very small, one-night-only style service, we aren’t able to provide multiple-layered dietary adjustments for a single guest. Thanks for understanding.
Dietary Requirements
With extremely limited seating, we encourage guests to book early. Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation, and we kindly ask guests to complete checkout in full. To help us seat your group together, please make your full table reservation in one single booking, as separate bookings may not be able to be combined.
